September 2010 – We started distributing secret keys using our integrated and fully computerized quantum key distribution system between the University of Calgary and SAIT. Stay tuned.

September 2010 – Congratulations to Neil Sinclair who successfully defended his MSc thesis entitled Broadband Quantum Interface using a Thulium-doped Waveguide.

September 2010 – We have demonstrated, for the first time, the possibility to transfer entanglement between two photons into entanglement between a photon and a solid-state waveguide. Read the preprint here.

July 2010 – Find out how to temporally compress quantum data using a photon-echo quantum memory approach.

June 2010 – If you want to learn more about the important border between classical and quantum memory, read our paper on the Impossibility of faithfully storing single photons with the three-pulse photon echo.

March 2010 – Read about the first implementation of a quantum memory protocol in a solid-state waveguide here.

Dec 2009 – Our review article on quantum memory was published in Nature Photonics. Read the story here.

November 2009 – Read our study of a Thulium-doped LiNbO 3 waveguide in view of quantum memory here.

October 2009 – Congratulations to Gina Howard, who has successfully defended her Masters thesis on Entanglement Swapping with Imperfect Sources and Detectors.

October 2009 - Read our investigation of State transformation in photon-echo quantum memory here.

October 2009 - Félix Bussières successfully defended his PhD thesis entitled Time-bin entanglement and quantum communication (Intrication temporelle et communication quantique). Congratulations!

Sept 2009– Read our manuscript on Optical quantum memory with generalized time-reversible atom-light interactions here.

August 2009 – Congratulations to Ahdiyeh Delfan who successfully defended her Masters thesis on Photon Echo Quantum Memory and State Transformation.
